Meghalaya: BSF Provides Leaf Plate making machine to villagers

The Border Security Force organised a civic action programme at village Kuliang under East Jaintia Hills & village Patharghat under East Khasi Hills dist of Meghalaya on Saturday.
Dharampal Tokas, DIG SHQ BSF Jowai inaugurated the programme at village Kuliang under East Jaintia Hills in presence of Nokma of Kuliang, Lamasaki, Umkiang and Laijuri. During the programme, 02 Nos Areca nut leaf plate making machines were provided to local villagers for earning their livelihood. Local resident of Kuliang, Lamasaki, Umkiang and Laijuri were present during the programme and expressed their gratitude to BSF for organizing such programmes. They expressed their desire that BSF should continue the good work in future too keeping the welfare needs of border areas.
Same Civic Action programme was also conducted by Sentinels of Border Security Force at village Patharghat under East Khasi Hills dist of Meghalaya. SM Radhey Shyam inaugurated the programme in presence of Nokma, Secretary and villagers of village Kalatek. During the programme, Multi Gym Set was distributed to villagers of Kalatek.
Series of Civic Action programmes are being conducted by Border Security Force to assist poor bordering villagers, to upgrade the existing infrastructure and to create new avenues for bringing positive changes in the life of the local villagers.
