“I want to tell Narendra Modi that 200 officials of your government are in touch with us and informing us, including those in the ED, CBI, Foreign Ministry…” Gandhi said. He added that the Opposition was receiving “all the inside information from within the government.”

The Congress leader did not disclose the identities of the officers or the nature of the information allegedly being shared. The claim came as the INDIA bloc intensified its campaign against alleged electoral irregularities (“vote chori”) and demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar.

Gandhi also claimed that messages were coming from the CEC and urged him to “turn approver,” saying Kumar had made a mistake but was “not the main criminal.” He further alleged that about 50% of police personnel, along with forces such as ITBP and CRPF, were supportive of the Opposition’s protests.

The press conference was held ahead of the Opposition’s planned march to the Supreme Court to file a petition related to the Election Commission and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Gandhi called on supporters to join the demonstration and said the agitation would continue until the Constitution is upheld and the CEC resigns.

No immediate response from the government or the agencies named was available at the time of reporting.
