A bus carrying students of Kohima Bible College which was heading towards Zunheboto Town met with an accident near Wokha Village in Nagaland . Four students reportedly injured.
According to sources, the bus carrying 22 students went off road and rolled down as the driver of the bus was giving side to a speeding convoy of a VIP heading towards Kohima.
The sources quoting the bus driver, resident of nearby Wokha village, youth, new Wokha Village Development Board Secretary and others rescued the victims and rushed the injured to Civil hospital Wokha.
Meanwhile, local MLA, Dr Chumben Murry visited the accident site and the injured students in the hospital besides extending them with financial aid.
It may be mentioned that to get rid of VIP culture in chief guest doting Nagaland, the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) Cabinet meeting held on April 16 resolved that members of the PDA would abstain from attending functions as chief guest henceforth.
