Assam: Weekly AC Special train between Kamakhya and Sealdah

Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to run 20(eighteen) trips of special train between Kamakhya to Sealdah and back to ease rush of passenger during ensuing summer season.
The special train bearing number 02261 will leave from Sealdah every Friday from 27th April to 29th June ( 10 trips).
During return journey the special train bearing number 02262 will leave from Kamakhya every Saturday from 28th April to 30th June (10 trips).
The special train will have one AC 1st class, four AC 2 tier, eleven AC 3 tier coaches apart from two luggage cum parcel van. It will leave from Sealdah at 11-55 PM to reach Kamakhya at 18-35 PM next day.
During return journey the special train will leave from Kamakhya at 11-05 PM to arrive at Sealdah at 05-45 PM next day.
The train will stop at New Bongaigaon, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj and Malda Town stations during its journey both ways.
The total journey time from Kamakhya to Sealdah is about 18 hours. The train will run via Goalpara Town and Raninagar Jalpaiguri stations.
Fare structure will be similar to super fast mail / express trains.
It may be mentioned here that, NF. Railway has been running special trains to various locations depending on demand and availability. During last year 2017-18, total 1387 trips of special trains were run creating more than 24 lakhs additional berths.
