Assam:  CBI conducts raids at IT Commissioner’s House at Dehradun

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday searched a house in Dehradun belonging to Swetabh Suman , Commissioner of Income Tax (Audit), Guwahati, Assam .

It must be mention here that the on saturday CBI has arrested  Swetabh Suman, from Delhi in connection with a case of tax evasion and criminal conspiracy.

According to a TOI report,  the house is located in an upscale area close to Rajpur road and was owned by Suman. “During the search the CBI team has seized several files and documents property and real estate investments made by the officer and his dependents.

Preliminary investigation in Dehradun revealed that the house has a caretaker and Suman has not visited it in the past two years.

Acting on a tip-off, the CBI had arrested Suman on April 13 in Assam and later all the properties linked with him were tracked and searched. “The details of the seized documents cannot be shared since the investigations are going on,” the report said.
