In a joint operation by Assam police and security forces four NDF (S) over ground workers apprehended .

Troops of Red Horns Division & Baksa Police carried out a two day long Operation from 30 to 31 Oct to track down alleged NDFB(S) Over Ground Workers in Baksa and Chirang district linked with possession/ movement of warlike stores.
During this period, relentless search & multiple Mobile Check Posts were laid by army & police to nab these suspected individuals.
During a mobile check post on 30 Oct 18, three individuals were apprehended who were moving in a white coloured Ford figo alongwith a .303″ rifle, nine live rounds and four Mobile Phones.
On further questioning it was learnt through one of the individual that another accomplice in Chirang dist is also in possession of a AK-56. On 31 Oct, the team further proceeded to Chirang and cordoned off the suspected individual’s house.
The search of his house led to recovery of one Chinese AK-56, a US Made M2 Carbine and apprehension of one more individual of Bengtol vill.
These recoveries & apprehensions have dealt a massive blow to the morale of anti-national elements & insurgents operating in Baksa
