Assam: Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation distributes prepared lunch to economically marginalised people
Guwahati- Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Assam, and Sri Sathya Sai Trust Assam, through Sathya Sai Samitee Guwahati organised a unique program today. Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation prepared lunch for economically marginalised people and handed it over to the Assam Police department headed by Inspector Harmohan Kalita, SB HQ.
The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation sent cooked food, to Guwahati Railway station slum area and the other area called Moriya Patti in Uzan Bazaar. At railway station they provided lunch to around 150 people and at the latter, to around 250 people.
The people from the community had undue happiness written all over their faces. Their hunger was finally addressed and their thirst finally quenched, and their satisfaction and gratitude was evident.
It was a pleasant sight, looking at the faces of the children, the specially abled and the people in general gathering around in a well sanitized manner to collect the distributed food.
The whole program was managed by the Assam Police following the rules & regulations laid down by the government and the SSSSO mandate.
There will be no Seva work on Saturday and Sunday, i.e, 2nd and 3rd of May, in lieu of the fact that the people from the Police department wont be in a position to help us for the aforementioned dates. We shall let you know, once we restart our Seva work hereafter, said an official.
