CAB: AASU announces series of agitation programme against Citizenship Amendment Bill

The union will take out a torchlight rally on December 7 and 8 in protest against CAB.

The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) announced a series of agitation programme against the proposed Citizenship Amendment Bill ( CAB )-2019.

As per their programme the union will take out a torchlight rally on December 7 and 8 in protest against CAB.  Also organize a lamp lighting on December 10 and stated that if the bill will be placed in the Parliament, it will be burnt.

AASU addressing a press conference AASU informed that “they will organize a mass hunger strike programme on December 13 at Guwahati”.

On December 14th, they will organize road yatra and protest meetings in the villages all over Assam.

AASU has also urged the people of Assam to cooperate with the Assam Bandh called by NESO on December 10.

The North East Students’ orgnaisation (NESO) on Friday called for an 11-hour Northeast bandh on December 10 from 5 am to 4 pm to protest against the decision of the Government of India to approve the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) to be passed in Parliament.
