Meghalaya: BSF distributes Solar light, Spray Pump etc to the villagers residing along Indo-Bangaldesh Border
SHILONG- BSF Meghalaya Frontier during a civic action programme distributed Solar light, Spray Pump, Stationary etc to villagers residing along Ind-Banlgadesh border.
The Programme was organized by BSF Meghalaya Frontier in the border village of Baldamgiri, Rithingpara of District South West Garo Hills in the area of 28 Bn BSF on 9th March 2021.
About 100 civilians joined this programme and expressed their happiness and gratitude on friendly gesture demonstrated by Border Security Force.
The progr amme was inaugurated by Hardeep Singh, Inspector General, Frontier HQrs Meghalaya in the presence of S.K.Misra Commandant.
On the same day, a free medical camp and civic action programme were also organized at BOP Muktapur of 30 Bn BSF. During the programme essential items such as Plastic Chair, Scissor, Stool, various sports items, utensils, Computers etc were distributed to the villagers of Jalia Khola, Shiv Parvati Temple, Lakra Basti, Hawai Basti, Muktapur, Patro Basti, Amjolang, Amki, Ampiang of West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya.
During the Medical camp, 195 patients were diagnosed by BSF Medical Officers and provided free medicines. The local population appreciated the initiation of BSF towards improvements of their life standard.
