Assam: ASS observes Martyrs Day in memory of Satendra Soren
The Adivasi Sewa Samiti ( ASS ) in Kokrajhar, Assam on Thursday paid tributes to the martyr Satendra Soren founder secretary of the Samiti.

The Adivasi Sewa Samiti ( ASS ) on Thursday paid tributes to the martyr Satendra Soren founder secretary of the Samiti who was killed by National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) in 6th Sep, 1998.
The day was observed with day long programme at Amguri Mahamilan play ground. In the morning time paid floral tribute to martyr tomb at his home.
Mentioned be here that Satendra Soren Founder General Secretary of Adivasi Sewa Samottee along with his son (four year) Binay Soren, Suniram Murmu and Robin Baskey both active member of Samiti were brutally killed by National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) at Bhumki kokrajhar in 1998 September 6. Since then the Samiti is observing the day as martyr in memory of them.
Talking to media Boil Hembrom president of ASS said that the government given assurance to victim family for a government job but still not fulfil. He also alleges that the BJP led Government failure to full fill the demands of the community for which the organization are struggling since several decade .
A open meeting was also organized in connection with the observation. Daneswar Goyari, EM BTC, Birsing Munda, C in C Birsa Commando Force (BCF), Siman Kishku, President ASSU, Jonash Tappo and Nelson Kishku President and Secretary of observing committee and host dignitaries were presented in the observation.
