Indo-China joint exercise is under progress in Meghalaya

The Eighth Edition of Indo China Joint Training Exercise Hand-in-Hand-2019 is under progress at Joint Training Node. Umroi, Meghalaya. The Exercise commenced on 07 December 2019.
The Peoples Liberations Army (PLA) contingent from the Tibet Military Command & Indian Army contingent comprising of one Infantry company each along with supporting staff are participating in the 14 days long training exercise.
The training exercise is in halfway and is focusing on training on various lectures, drills associated with Counter Terrorist Scenario, Battle Obstacles Course, Helibome Operations, Case studies of various operations carried out in Counter Terrorist environment and various Joint tactical drills.
The exercise aims to enrich both the contingent from each other’s experience in Counter – Terrorism Operations. Besides Counter-Terrorism Operations, Discussions on Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief (HADR) operations ( flood relief) wilI be conducted as part of scenario.
The exercise is testimony of India and China jointly recognizing the emerging threat of terrorism and their resolve to stand together in countering this menace.
