Assam: BJP MLA dissatisfied over not given a ministerial berth
Speaking to media persons, the BJP MLA from Dibrugarh, Prashanta Phukan expressed his dissatisfaction over not being given a ministerial berth.

Just after over of the swearing ceremony of newly inducted minister in Sonowal Cabinet, the Senior BJP leader and MLA from Dibrugarh Mr Prashanta Phukan resigned from the responsibility of Chairman of the governing body of Assam Medical College and from the post of Chairman of State Committee of Policy Making constituted for the ensuing Panchayat election. He submitted his resignation today to the respective authorities concerned.
Speaking to media persons, the BJP MLA expressed his dissatisfaction over not being given a ministerial berth.
“Maybe, I do not deserve, Politics is like an Aljebra, it is not simple and senior-junior factors don’t come into play here,” he reportedly said.
Phukan further added, “I congratulate all my fellow MLAs for securing ministerial berths. Maybe I am not accountable enough like them for which I didn’t get the ministerial berth. Everyone wants to rise in life and I am no different.”
