Assam CM assures full support to NCC

GUWAHATI-   Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma,  assured  Maj Gen Ananta Bhuyan,   ADG NCC North  Eastern  Region,  his  government’s  full support  to NCC  in its endeavour to strengthen  the unity  of the  country  and spread  nationalism  among  youth  of the state.

During  a  meeting on 16 June 2021 with the ADG, the CM was  informed  about various NCC activities in the state. Gen Bhuyan  specifically highlighted expansion of NCC in border areas of Assam and introduction of NCC as an elective subject in the Colleges of Assam as per UGC guide lines.

He also assured the CM that NCC cadets are always available to the State administration to perform its role in community service, public awareness campaigns and nation building.
