Assam: Orientation meeting held on Ayushman Bharat Diwas (Urban) in Hailakandi

A district level orientation meeting on Ayushman Bharat Diwas (Urban) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Hailakandi, Adil Khan.
Chairing the meeting at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner’s office here today, Khan asked all the health officials and functionaries to make all out efforts to make the programme a resounding success and assured to extend all possible help by the district administration.
Under the programme, altogether 1,987 households will be covered under 16 wards of the Hailakandi Municipal Board and 10 wards under the Lala Town Committee .
A continuation of the earlier Ayushman Bharat held under the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan on April 30 last, the programme that now spreads out to the populace of urban areas aims at providing cashless benefits up to Rs 5 lakh to each family that falls under the Socio-Economic and Caste Census, 2011.
The orientation meeting was attended, among others, by District Development Commissioner, FR Laskar, ADC (Health), Joint Director, Health Services, DIO, DPMU, BPMU and ward commissioners of Hailakandi and Lala civic bodies.
