A three-month training on Education in Basic Vocations and Soft Skills (EBVSS) on cutting and tailoring began in Hailakandi district
Organised by Native Women Youth Action Group and sponsored by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Hailakandi, the training was inaugurated by District BJP President, Subrata Nath at Native Pride Club on Friday. Presided over by noted teacher Subrata Nath, other dignitaries present on the occasion were President, Barak Upatyaka Bongo Sahitya O Sanskriti Sammelan, Katlicherra, Samar Bijoy Nath and eminent poet Anandalal Nath.
District Youth Coordinator, NYKS, Sekhar Ranjan Deb, in his welcome address, explained the aims and objective of the programme. He also outlined the guidelines and procedures to be followed during the course of the training period. He also revealed that special trainer will visit once or twice in a month and final exams will be conducted by a third agency.
Speaking as chief guest, noted teacher Subrata Nath, while appreciating the initiatives of NYKS, Hailakandi and Native Women Youth Action Group, stressed on entrepreneurial attitude and behaviour for attaining success in life. Citing examples from his own life, Nath narrated the trials and tribulations he encountered to become a successful entrepreneur. He assured the 25 participants who enrolled for the training for all kinds of cooperation, even in marketing their products, if they could produce any item on a large scale.
The meeting concluded with presidential address followed by the National Anthem.
