Singson’s family, displaced from Imphal’s Old Lambulane to Kangpokpi in 2023 due to ethnic violence between the Meitei and Kuki communities, opted for the Dimapur route to avoid Imphal for security reasons, despite offers from the Manipur government and Meitei groups to facilitate passage. Her funeral is scheduled for today, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at a public cemetery in Kangpokpi.

Singson was among the 241 passengers and crew aboard Air India Flight AI 171, which crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad. Her loss has left an indelible mark on her family and community, who remember her as a dedicated professional and a beloved daughter.
