Mizoram CM Zoramthanga tweets “Northeast India will always be one”
Chief Minister Zoramthanga on Friday tweeted his government's notification, issued a day before Assam travel advisory, underscoring that there will be no restriction on non-Mizos traveling through Kolasib district in Mizoram.
AIZAWL: “Northeast India will always be one” , tweeted Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga, a day after Assam government advised its people not to travel to Mizoram in the wake of Violence between police forces of both the state recently over border dispute.
Chief Minister Zoramthanga on Friday tweeted his government’s notification, issued a day before Assam travel advisory, underscoring that there will be no restriction on non-Mizos traveling through Kolasib district in Mizoram.
On the other hand , the Assam government on Thursday advised its people not to travel to neighbour state Mizoram. In an advisory, it said, “People of Assam are advised not to travel to Mizoram as any threat to the personal safety of people of Assam can’t be accepted.”

However, both the states on Wednesday had agreed to amicably resolve the ongoing border conflict after a meeting was called the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) which was attended by the chief secretaries and the police heads of Assam and Mizoram.
