Assam:  DDC inspects anti erosion work at Kalinagar in Hailakandi

HAILAKANDI-  District Development Commissioner, Ranajeet Kumar Laskar inspected the anti-erosion work at Kalinagar undertaken by the Water Resources Department, Badarpur Division here on Thursday.

Accompanied by senior officials of the department, Laskar after thorough inspection found the progress of work satisfactory.

The DDC urged the departmental officials and the contractor to expedite the completion of the major work before the onset of monsoon and to maintain quality work at the same time.

In fact, the senior official of the administration visited the site after receiving complaints regarding non use of quality materials.

It may be mentioned that the foundation stone of the little over Rs.9.73 crore anti erosion project was laid by Minister Parimal Suklabaidya on November 11 last year. The length of the anti erosion project is 670 metre.
