Assam: Security forces apprehends one suspected ULFA(I) Cadre

Suspected insurgent has been identified as Jantu Baruah, son of late Bulan Chandra Baruah, resident of Bailung Bheti, Tingkhong, Dibrugarh district.

Dibrugarh- ( By Anil Poddar ) – In a joint operation conducted by the  security forces  ( Army and Dibrugarh Police ) in Assam  one suspected insurgent of ULFA (I) was apprehended on 28 May 2020.

Suspected insurgent has been identified as Jantu Baruah, son of late Bulan Chandra Baruah, resident of Bailung Bheti, Tingkhong, Dibrugarh district.

One 7.65mm Pistol with one magazine and live round of ammunition, two IEDs, materials used for making IEDs and one mobile phone were recovered during the operation.

The two IEDs were disposed off by the Bomb Disposal Team of the Indian Army at Polo ground, near Paltan Bazar, Dibrugarh little while ago.
