Assam: Woman BJP leader killed , her body dumped on NH 17 in Goalpara
Police, sent her body to Goalpara Civil Hospital for autopsy, suspect that she was killed somewhere else and her body dumped.
GOALPARA- In a shocking incident, a woman BJP leader was allegedly killed by unidentified persons and her body was dumped on National Highway 17 in Assam’s Goalpara district on Monday.
According to police officials, the body of district BJP secretary Jonali Nath was found on the national highway in the Salpara area under Krishnai police station.
Police sent her body to Goalpara Civil Hospital for autopsy, and suspect that she was killed somewhere else and her body dumped.
Party colleagues also took to Twitter and expressed condolence over the Jonali Nath’s demise. The spokesperson for Assam BJP, Jury Sharma Bordoloi said Nath was known for her “unwavering commitment and tireless efforts”.

Assam Minister Bimal Borah took to Twitter and expressed “deep anguish” upon the “tragic demise” of Jonali Nath. Borah further promised that “the individuals responsible for this atrocious act will face the consequences and justice will be served”.
Meanwhile, the investigation is going on and more details are awaited.
