More flyovers and bridges will be constructed in and around Guwahati for better connectivity and to ease the traffic problem; CM

Assam’s capital Guwahati which is on the path of fast development, now turning into city of flyovers-  The pace of development has picked up fast in Guwahati and the credit goes to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The problem of traffic, which was the biggest problem of Guwahati, this biggest city of North East India, which is being solved very fast by state government.

To ease the traffic, many flyovers have been built in the city, and many more are going to be built. Seeing this, it can be said that Guwahati is now becoming a city of flyovers.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma while addressing the public at the inauguration ceremony of the Nilachal flyover at Maligaon on Wednesday, announced that more flyovers and bridges will be constructed in and around Guwahati for better connectivity and to ease the traffic problem.

The 2.6 km long four-lane flyover connecting Maligaon Chariali to Kamakhya Temple Road tri-junction is the longest flyover of Assam. The infrastructure project is built at a cost of Rs 420 crores.

  • 6 Lane Guwahati -NorthGuwahati bridge over Brahamputra to be inaugurated by Diwalai 2024

  • Flyover to come up at Downtown area in GS Road
  • Flyover to come up in Dharapur Chariali
