Manipur: Assam Rifles seize Rs 60 lakh worth of WY drugs in Tengnoupal dist

IMPHAL- Assam Rifles seize Rs 60 lakh worth of WY drugs in Tengnoupal dist of Manipur, informed Lt Col Amit Shukla, PRO, Defence.

On 15 November 2024, Assam Rifles, during a routine search operation along a jungle route near Zoumnuom, Tengnoupal District, discovered a concealed packet of 20,000 tablets of WY drugs, weighing approximately 2 kilograms.

The seized narcotics, valued at an estimated Rs 60,00,000 in the Indian market, highlighting a significant effort in curbing the flow of illegal substances.
The drugs have been handed over to the Customs Department for further investigation and legal proceedings.
