Manipur CM Leads ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Bike Rally
The rally, flagged off from Hapta Kangjeibung, Imphal East, travelled through NH-102, Thoubal and Kakching before concluding at the 8th Battalion Manipur Rifles Campus in Chandel.
IMPHAL- Thousands of bikers joined a large-scale ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally across Manipur on Monday, with Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh calling for unity, patriotism and peace as the state participates in the nationwide campaign.
The Chief Minister flagged off the bike rally from Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal East. Organised by the Manipur Police Department, the rally brought together thousands of participants from across the state.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Khemchand Singh recalled India’s Independence on August 15, 1947, and said the occasion continues to be marked by citizens proudly displaying the national Tricolour.
The Chief Minister used the occasion to call upon citizens to work together with unity and patriotism towards the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” and the goal of building a strong India.

He also appealed to people to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India the strongest nation in the world.
Khemchand Singh expressed confidence that the Tiranga Yatra would be successful and said he hoped the initiative would contribute to peace and stability in Manipur.
The appeal for peace is particularly significant as the rally was held amid the state’s continuing efforts to restore stability and normalcy.

The rally began at Hapta Kangjeibung and proceeded along National Highway 102, passing through the Khongjom War Memorial, Thoubal district and Kakching district, before concluding at the 8th Battalion Manipur Rifles Campus in Leikun, Chandel district.
The long route turned the rally into a major public display of the national flag across several parts of the state.
Participants waved the Tricolour while riding through the designated route, reaffirming the campaign’s message of national pride and unity.
The Chief Minister led the rally, which was also attended by Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam.

The flag-off ceremony was attended by Art and Culture Minister Kh. Loken Singh, Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra and BJP Manipur Pradesh in-charge Dr Ajit Gopchade, Keisamthong MLA Nishikant Sapam, Chief Secretary Dr Puneet Kumar Goel, Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh and DGP Manipur Mukesh Singh, along with senior police officers and government officials.
The participation of the police and senior government leadership gave the event a strong institutional character, while the presence of thousands of bikers provided the campaign with a broad public outreach.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is aimed at encouraging citizens to proudly display the national flag and reinforce a sense of national pride and unity.
In Manipur, the Chief Minister’s message combined those themes with an appeal for peace and stability, linking public participation in the Tiranga campaign with the broader objective of strengthening social cohesion.
The rally’s significance therefore went beyond a ceremonial flag-off: it served as a public appeal for unity and patriotism while the state continues its efforts towards peace and stability.
