Train Accident: Many Feared Dead After Jumping Off Train Over Fire Rumour, Run Over By Another
The incident took place around 4 pm near Pardhade railway station in Pachura taluka of Jalgaon district.

Train Accident- Several people are feared dead after a fire rumour on a train crossing Maharashtra’s Jalgaon triggered panic, with passengers jumping off the train and getting hit by another coming in from the other direction, Central Railway officials said.
Officials said the incident took place around 4 pm near Pardhade railway station in Pachura taluka of Jalgaon district.
The Pushpak Express, a Daily Superfast Express train that runs between Lucknow to Mumbai, which was heading towards Mumbai had halted after someone pulled the chain due to a rumour of fire on board around 5 pm, said the Railways.

Reportedly some passengers of the Pushpak Express stepped down, and were hit by the oncoming Karnataka Express. Officials said the injured passengers are being taken to the hospital.
The Divisional Railway Manager of Bhusawal has left for the accident site. A medical team has also rushed to the spot. State government officials and rescue teams are also reaching the accident spot,” said an official of the Ministry of Railways
Jalgaon District Collector Ayush Prasad said, ”As per preliminary information, five-six passengers were crushed by the incoming train.”

wapnil Lila, spokesperson, Central Railway, said, ”As per our preliminary information, the Pushpak Express had halted near a railway station in Jalgaon… So far, we don’t have information about casualties. Our first priority is to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured passengers.”
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis mourned the loss of lives, adding that he is in touch with the district administration and all assistance is being provided.
