Army Jawan Desh Deepak sets Guinnes Book Record by doing the Maximum number of Knuckle Pushups. The event was held on Monday in Barama, of Assam’s Baksa district which was witnessed by Brig Gaurav Rishi, SC, SM,Commander 107 Mountain Brigade and many civilian dignitaries including Mr Maneswar Brahma, MLA Barama Constituency, Assam.
The panel of judges included Mr Pawan Solanki, President of India Book of Records and Mr Surumani Dole. In this successful attempt Lance Naik Desh Deepak established a record of 55 Knuckle Push ups with one leg raised and carrying 40 lbs weight by beating the current record of 49 Knuckle Push ups set by MrJarjees Rashed in UAE in Aug 2017.
Before that Deepak has a records for Knuckle Pushups with one Leg raised and carrying 40Lbs weight. A few records set by him recently includes 51 Knuckle Push ups in one min on 23 Jan 2018 in Asia Book of Record followed by record of 52 Knuckle Push ups in India Book of Record on 26 Jan 2018.
Lance Naik Desh Deepak is a very determined and motivated soldier of 15 JAT. He was a young soldier when he met with a serious accident in a minefield during active service in field area in Poonch sector . However an unflinching motivation to overcome this unfortunate incident drove him towards excelling in many sporting events like Basketball, Boxing and Squash. It was his sheer willpower and confidence that he continued and excelled in these physical events in spite of being gravely injured.
