Assam: Army Launches SWACHH BHARAT CAMPAIGN at Nalbari
The poster making competition was organised to kick start a two-week long cleanliness campaign to commemorate 151st Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October 2019. As many as 195 students participated in the campaign.

A poster making competition ‘SWACHH BHARAT’ was organised on Monday by the Indian Army at Nalbari Vidya Mandir High School, Nalbari in which students conveyed the message of cleanliness. The students showcased their perceptions about cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation through their creativity over canvas.
The poster making competition was organised to kick start a two-week long cleanliness campaign to commemorate 151st Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October 2019. As many as 195 students participated in the campaign.
The budding Picassos and Junior artists got down to business with creative ideas sending across a serious message on importance of cleanliness. The concept of hygiene and sanitation was better endorsed through this competition and would lead to “Clean and Green India”.
The poster not only spoke about Artistic excellence but also about idea’s thought that went behind them. The competition was like an extravagance for the young painter and the spectator’s as well, as they used their brilliance of painting blended with the perceptions displayed on the painting sheet.
Further the young artists also displayed the uniqueness and beauty of the mother earth which was commendable. This was not all, the students also wrote creative slogans over their poster’s to address the message clearly.
The event helped Army in reaching out to the youth and create awareness. The first position was secured by Miss Kangkita Sarma. All the participants were felicitated with certificates of achievement and the events concluded with cleanliness drive in the school campus.
