Assam: Dibrugarh police recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition

Dibrugarh police of Assam has recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition from Banipur railway station Dibrugarh today from a coach of 15934 Amritsar-Dibrugarh Express after it’s arrival at 1:50pm.

Police has recovered 264 live rounds, one AK 47 rifle, one 9mm pistol and two hand made pistols. Both the arms, AK 47 rifle and 9mm pistol are recovered in dismantled state. Out of 264 live rounds, 147 rounds were of AK47.

4 megzines, 2 each of AK47 and 9mm pistol were also recovered . The RPF informed the Dibrugarh police after the cleaning staff noticed two unclaimed bags in a coach.

Police investigation is on.
