Assam Entrepreneur Dr Pakeezah Rahman Honoured Among ‘100 Iconic Women of India’

Dr Pakeezah Rahman, Director and Co-Founder of MJI Group, was recognised at the ‘100 Iconic Women of India Awards 2026’ for her contributions to entrepreneurship, indigenous industries and women empowerment.

NEW DELHI — Pakeezah Rahman, Director and Co-Founder of MJI Group, has been honoured with the ‘100 Iconic Women of India Awards 2026’, receiving national recognition for her contributions to entrepreneurship and women empowerment.

The award ceremony was held at the NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi on Saturday, where actor Ritu Shivpuri presented the honour in the presence of participants and dignitaries from across the country.

Dr Rahman was reportedly the only woman from Assam selected among 100 women recognised nationwide for achievements in leadership, entrepreneurship and social impact.

As Director and Co-Founder of MJI Group, she has been associated with promoting Assam’s indigenous oud-based perfumes and fragrances in national and international markets. Her work has also focused on encouraging women-led entrepreneurship and advocating sustainable business practices linked to local industries and cultural products.

The award acknowledged her contribution towards entrepreneurship and her efforts to showcase Assam’s indigenous products and business potential on wider platforms.

Reacting to the recognition, Dr Rahman dedicated the honour to the people of Assam, women entrepreneurs and the MJI Group team.
