Assam: GHC grants bail to Mridupawan Neog’s security guard Rajesh Dixit

GUWAHATI: The Gauhati high court on Thursday granted bail to Rajesh Dixit who is personal security guard of Mridupawan Neog in connection with Nagaon case.
On September 25, 2021, both Nagaon and Guwahati police jointly conducted a search operation at the house of Mridupawan Neog who has been alleged for his involvement in a scam worth Rs 30 lakhs. During he search, his bodyguard Rakesh Dixit and driver Bahin Boro were arrested.
Along with the arrest of Rakesh Dixit and driver Bahin Boro Police had seized .32 pistol, 20 live rounds, gold jewelry worth lakhs, a large quantity of foreign liquor, many fake documents and stickers of various government departments, and a logo of a media house.
Before the high court, Dixit was represented by advocate Amit Goyal.
Goyal submitted before the court that Dixit was no where connected with the affairs of Neog. He was only discharging his duty as his security guard. Moreover there is no allegation against Dixit in the FIR as well as in the forwarding report.
Considering the same, the high court enlarged Dixit on bail.
