Assam: Hailakandi observes Swachhata Hi Sewa, Mission 100
With the rest of the country Swachhata Hi Sewa launched in Assam’s Hailakandi district.

As part of Swaachta Hi Sewa (cleanliness is service) and Mission 100, Hailakandi also joined the rest of the State and the country in observing the events.
Katlicherra MLA Suzamuddin Laskar inaugurated a piped water supply scheme under Mission 100 at Aloicherra IV East under Hailakandi PHE Division in presence of leading citizens and officials.
At a function organised by District Drinking Water and Sanitation, Hailakandi at Netaji Bhawan under Monipur Gaon Panchayat, MLA Laskar, CEO, Zila Parishad, NKSK Singha, Superintending Engineer, Nurzzaman Choudhury, Principal, Katlicherra College, Dipak Aich and other dignitaries underscored the importance of swachhata (cleanliness) for ushering in a clean India. They urged everyone to make cleanliness a part of their lives and to be a part of the cleanliness movement to fulfil Mahatma Gandhiji’s cherished dream of a clean India.
Swachhata Hi Sewa is a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan aimed at making India a clean country.
