Kaziranga University continues with excellent track record of placements: Student receives a package of INR 12 Lakhs p.a.

The Assam Kaziranga University has always maintained an excellent track record of placing students in top tier companies with nationally competitive salary packages. In pursuant of this, the University regularly holds placement drives on its campus for its internal students, as well as students of other colleges in the North Eastern region. It is a matter of pride that students of the northeast have found a platform to kickstart their career through the efforts of the University.

Through a recently released statement, the University highlighted two such cases of top tier placements. Mr. Yash Jain, a student of the B.Tech. – Computer Science and Engineering programme, of the Batch of 2020, Kaziranga University, was placed at M/s. Jaro Education P. Ltd, Mumbai with a salary package of INR 12 Lakh per annum. Mr. Jain was selected through an on-campus recruitment drive that was held on 3 September, 2019 for the post of Career Development Officer at Jaro Education. It is noteworthy that Mr. Jain is the only student from the entire North Eastern region to receive this package.

Another on-campus recruitment drive held on 28 August, 2019 saw Mr. Govind Banura, a student of the same batch of the B.Tech. – Computer Science and Engineering programme at Kaziranga University receive an offer of INR 4.5 Lakh p.a. from M/s. Value Labs India Ltd, Hyderabad. Mr. Banura was offered the post of Software Engineer by Value Labs.

Remarking on the high quality placements, the Vice Chancellor, Dr. P.K. Mishra said, “The University strives to provide industry aligned courses through a series of partnerships with various knowledge and industry partners like IBM, Amazon Web Services, Bosch, Tal Brabo and Siemens. This in turn, alongwith the continued efforts of the dedicated Career Development and Placement Cell, has led to excellent placements year on year.”

The Dean of the Career Development and Placement Cell added that numerous more placement drives are planned in the near future. He also took the time to invite participants for the planned pool campuses scheduled to be held on the University premises from students of other institutes of the state.
