GUWAHATI- A massive fire broke out at Lahorijan in Bokajan’s Assam-Nagaland border on Wednesday afternoon. According to reports, over 200 houses have been gutted in the fire.
Over a dozen fire tenders from nearby Bokajan and Nagaland’s Dimapur rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Several LPG cylinders exploded which made the inferno spread like wildfire.
Moreover, several cylinders were reportedly bursted in the fire. Later, fire tenders reached the spot and tried to douse the flame. It may be mentioned that several vehicles including two four-wheelers and three motorcycles have also been burnt to ashes.
Hundreds of people were rendered homeless as their houses and belongings were turned into ashes. Property worth several lakh of rupees was gutted in the fire. However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained
