In a surprise and sudden anti drug drive on Saturday the Crime Branch and different Police Stations of the Guwahati Police Commissionerate swung into action and rounded up 26 persons.
After verification police arrested a total of 9 (nine) including 2 (two) women drug paddlers from various areas under Panbazar, Paltanbazar, Latasil, Noonmati, Basistha, Hatigaon, Khetri and Sonapur Police stations of Guwahati .
Police also seized a large quantiy of suspected Heroine, brown sugar, Cough syrup, syringes and more than 5(five) kg of Ganja including large quantity of illicit country liquor.
Arrested persons are identified as Binod Verma, Dilip , Tasor Ali, Rubi Ali, smti Neera Das, Vikram Das, Mintul Haque , Majjamil Hague and Mala Baruah
