Shillong’s Rachel Rimeika Jyrwa crowned Miss Hornbill International 2023

SHILLONG-  19-year-old Rachel Rimeika Jyrwa, of Shillong, dazzles at Hornbill Festival, claiming the Miss Hornbill International 2023 title. She is a BA English student of Synod College.

Her grace enchanted the audience, earning her not just the crown but also Miss Beautiful Smile and Best Evening Gown titles.

Alongside the prestigious title, Rachel was awarded a generous cash prize of 2 lakhs and ₹30,000/- for her exceptional performance in various subtitles.

A proud Mawlai native, Rachel’s journey from Miss Shillong 2023 First Runner’s Up to this triumph is truly inspiring. Vogue Nagaland awaits her as she signs a promising one-year contract.

Mossang Tanusa Gogoi from Innao Ahom village of Diyun circle under Bordumsa sub-division Arunachal Pradesh won second place, while Vezotolu Shijoh from Nagaland won the title of the second runner-up.

 The prestigious international event of the beauty pageant industry in Nagaland had featured a total of 14 contestants from various states of India beside Nepal.

The 24th edition of the Hornbill Festival is underway at the Naga Heritage Village of Kisama in Kohima district. The 10-day festival began on December 1 and will conclude on December 10.
