Sikkim: An imposter posing as a Lt. Col of Indian Army apprehended from Siliguri

The apprehended individual has been identified as Dalchand Verma, son of Late Parchand Verma, resident of Lower MG Marg, Gangtok, Sikkim.

GANGTOK-  An imposter posing as Lieutenant Colonel of Indian Army was apprehended by Siliguri Metropolitan police at Salugara area in Siliguri, West Bengal on Monday.

The apprehended individual has been identified as Dalchand Verma, son of Late Parchand Verma, resident of Lower MG Marg, Gangtok, Sikkim.

Based on specific input provided by TriShakti Corps, a joint operation was carried out by Siliguri Metropolitan Police and nabbed the fake Indian Army personnel.

The suspect was involved in fake recruitment and forgery of documents, informs a press release for Indian Army.

The police recovered a mobile phone, blank forms for enrolment in Indian Army and a photocopy of own UID card.
