TRAIN ACCIDENT: Two goods trains collided in Fatehpur
The loco pilots of both the trains were seriously injured in the accident.
UP Train Accident: Two goods trains collided in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh. One goods train was standing on the track when another goods train coming from behind hit it. The collision was so severe that the engine and the guard’s compartment of the goods train standing in front fell off the track.
The loco pilots of both the trains were seriously injured in the accident. The incident took place on Tuesday morning on the DFC or Dedicated Freight Corridor. Only goods trains run on it. Hence, the incident did not affect the passenger trains.

The loco pilots of both the trains were admitted to the nearest hospital. Teams have arrived for relief and rescue. The track is being cleared. The accident took place on the up line near Pambhipur in Khaga between Kanpur-Fatehpur.
DFC officials said that there was a red signal on the track. A goods train was standing. Then suddenly another goods train came from behind at a high speed and hit it. Both goods trains were loaded with coal. Due to the accident, rail traffic on one line of the freight corridor is affected. Many goods trains have been stopped. Routes of some have been changed. The railway administration has ordered an inquiry.
