Bihar: Lalu Prasad Yadav Expels Son Tej Pratap Yadav from RJD and Family for Six Years Over ‘Irresponsible Behaviour’

PATNA — In a dramatic turn of events, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has expelled his elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, from the party for six years, citing ‘irresponsible behaviour’ and violation of moral values. The expulsion also extends to his removal from the family, marking a significant personal and political fallout within the Yadav household.
The decision follows a controversial Facebook post by Tej Pratap, where he publicly declared being in a relationship with Anushka Yadav. The post sparked widespread criticism and was subsequently deleted.

Lalu Prasad Yadav announced the expulsion through a post on X (formerly Twitter), emphasizing the party’s commitment to moral standards and discipline.
Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu’s younger son and former Bihar Chief Minister, supported the decision, stating that such behaviour is ‘intolerable’ and cannot be accepted within the party.
