Sikha Sarma Remanded to Two-Day Police Custody Over Zubeen Remarks

A court has remanded Sikha Sarma to two-day police custody in connection with alleged remarks made about Assamese singer Zubeen Garg.

GUWAHATI-  Sikha Sarma was remanded to two-day police custody by a court on Sunday in connection with a case relating to alleged remarks made about popular Assamese singer Zubeen Garg.

According to officials, Sarma was produced before the court following her arrest, after which the police sought custodial remand to further investigate the matter. The court granted police custody for two days to allow investigators to examine the circumstances surrounding the remarks and their wider implications.
