Assamese YouTuber Bhukhan Pathak Distributes ₹3 Lakh Relief to Assam Flood Victims

After distributing essential supplies worth around ₹3 lakh in Sivasagar and Jorhat, the Assamese content creator is raising funds to help flood-hit families rebuild homes and tube wells.

GUWAHATI ( By Prantik Deka )- Assamese YouTuber Bhukhan Pathak has expanded his flood-relief efforts in Assam, distributing essential relief materials worth approximately ₹3 lakh among flood-affected families in Sivasagar and Jorhat districts and now turning his attention towards helping families rebuild homes damaged by the floods.

The first phase of the initiative focused on providing daily ration and other essential items to families struggling to meet basic needs following the floods.

According to information shared about the initiative, around ₹1.5 lakh of the first-phase expenditure came from Pathak’s personal funds, while approximately ₹1 lakh was raised through public donations. Relief materials and essential items worth another ₹50,000 were contributed from different sources.

Following the initial distribution of relief materials, Pathak has begun the second phase of his flood-relief initiative, shifting the focus from immediate assistance to helping families recover from extensive damage to their homes.

The initiative is currently raising funds for families whose houses have been severely damaged or completely destroyed by the floods.

Around ₹1.5 lakh has so far been collected, with fundraising continuing. Pathak also plans to contribute additional funds from his personal resources wherever possible.

The second phase aims to support the construction of temporary shelters and the reconstruction of tube wells, providing affected families with basic shelter and access to essential facilities as they begin rebuilding their lives.

The initiative has relied on a combination of Pathak’s personal contribution, public donations and assistance from other sources.

The transition from distributing relief materials to supporting reconstruction could provide affected families with assistance beyond their immediate post-flood requirements.

Pathak hails from Barpeta and was born in Bishnupur. He is the son of Nalini Pathak and the late  Dinesh Pathak.
