Assam: BJP takes out peace rally in Jagiroad
The 4-km long rally which started from Jagiroad college playground ended at Kahikuchi Lower Primary School playground.

While protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) by various organizations, students, civil society groups of Assam continued across the state, the state BJP on Friday took out a peace rally at Jagiroad in Assam’s Morigaon district.
Over 50,000 people, BJP workers, supporters took part in the rally led by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and state Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

BJP’s ally party Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) leaders took part in the rally.Later, the leaders had attended a public meeting held at Kahikuchi field.
Addressing the rally, Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed the BJP will win in 2021 assembly polls in Assam. “No force can finish the BJP. The BJP will again come to power in Assam in 2021 by winning 100 seats,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
