Assam: Charity by NCC cadets in Guwahati

GUWAHATI:  NCC Cadets of 48 Naval unit under NCC Group HQ Guwahati conducted a charity at Ganakharathi Ashram Chandmari at Guwahati today. The activity include distribution of winter clothings, Rations, Mattresses to the inmates of old age Home.

The Cadets also participated in environmental awareness through Swacchta Abhiyan during the course of the event. 25 cadets were part of the event to highlight the need to bring up the existing living standards of the Old age home.

National Cadet Corps through Social service and community development events have made a major mark in the State of Assam through activities of charitable nature which not only benefits the environment but also ingrain the aspects of charity amongst the cadets which will go along way to nurture their lives as well.

Speaking on the occasion Brig JC Talukdar, Group Commander NCC Guwahati highlighted the need for assistance for the destitutes which will ultimately lead to a better society and a great nation.
