Dipankar Talukdar from Guwahati, who represented India in the Mister Model of the World pageant held at Myanmar, was crowned Mister Model of the World Star in the Grand Finale.

Bringing cheers to the entire nation, Dipankar Talukdar from Guwahati, who represented India in the Mister Model of the World pageant held at Myanmar, was crowned Mister Model of the Star in the Grand Finale of the pageant on Wednesday evening. The 25-year-old youth also bagged the subtitle of Mister Photogenic in the pageant.
Speaking about his victory from Myanmar, an overwhelmed Dipankar said, “Words fail to express my happiness at the moment. Being able to win the title for India is something I had been dreaming of since the past six months. I thank my mentors and well-wishers, without whose guidance and blessings this would not have been possible”.
Earlier during the competition, Dipankar was seen donning the Axomiya gamusa along with his co-contestants. “Being a proud Assamese, I know there could be no better memento than the beautiful Axomiya gamusa, which I respectfully offered to all the contestants and officials. It made my heart swell with pride to see them adorning it so gracefully”, he had said.
Dipankar won the Mister India Model of the World title in March this year, which qualified him for the global finale. Dipankar competed against contestants from 15 countries in the grand finale.
The Mister Model of the World pageant envisaged to be a foundation for handsome and smart men, who have the passion and commitment to show the beauty of the world, through fashion, culture, heritage and values, while promoting peace and their individual advocacies.
