Speaking about his victory from Myanmar, an overwhelmed Dipankar said, “Words fail to express my happiness at the moment. Being able to win the title for India is something I had been dreaming of since the past six months. I thank my mentors and well-wishers, without whose guidance and blessings this would not have been possible”.

Earlier during the competition, Dipankar was seen donning the Axomiya gamusa along with his co-contestants. “Being a proud Assamese, I know there could be no better memento than the beautiful Axomiya gamusa, which I respectfully offered to all the contestants and officials. It made my heart swell with pride to see them adorning it so gracefully”, he had said.

Dipankar won the Mister India Model of the World title in March this year, which qualified him for the global finale. Dipankar competed against contestants from 15 countries in the grand finale.
