Assam:  Flying training for NCC Cadets recommence

GUWAHATI-  Flying training for Cadets of 50 Assam Air Sqn NCC recommenced on 05 Mar 2021 after a long gap of more than one year. Cadets were taken up for flying training at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport.

In spite of the busy schedule in terms of the number of aircraft arriving/departing to/from the civil airport, Guwahati ATC accommodated all the sorties of the Microlight aircraft and made it possible to achieve the challenging task under the supervision of Gp Capt Robin Vishoyi, Commanding Officer, 50 Air Sqn NCC, Gp HQ Guwahati.

Cadets were imparted basic flying training and given first-hand experience on flying the Microlite Aircraft held by the unit.

Cadets displayed extreme enthusiasm and keen interest while flying the aircraft. 50 Air Sqn NCC is planning to impart similar flying training to maximum number of cadets as it is one of the essential components of their training  curriculum.
