Assam: Guwahati – Howrah Spl Express derailed. No injury, no casualty
GUWAHATI- Four coaches of Guwahati-Howrah Special Express were derailed near Chaygaon railway station in Assam’s Kamrup (Rural) district on Wednesday. But here was no report of any casualty in the incident, said a N F Railway official.
According to the NF Railway, the 02346 Guwahati – Howrah Special Express which left Guwahati station at about 12-20 pm on Wednesday derailed at Km 136/5-6 near Chaygaon station at about 1-36 pm in the Guwahati — Goalpara — New Bongaigaon section under Rangiya division of NF Railway.
Four coaches of the train, including the pantry car, were derailed. There was no injury and casualty reported. Passengers of the affected coaches have been shifted to other coaches.
Accident Relief Train and Accident Relief Medical Equipment train immediately rushed to the site and senior railway officials from the NF Railway headquarter and Rangiya division were also rushed to the spot.
Necessary assistance is being provided to the passengers and restoration work has already started.
