Assam killings: TMC delegation reaches victims house, deceased cremated

A delegation of Trinamool Congress ( TMC ) leaders arrived Dibrugarh airport and proceed to Dhola, to meet family of five deceased .

A delegation of four Trinamool Congress leaders  arrives Mohanbari airport, Dibrugarh.

The team lead by Derek O’ Brien, the TMC parliamentary party leader in Rajya Sabha, the the party’s Lok Sabha MP Mamata Bala Thakur, Rajya Sabha MP Nadimul Haq and MLA Mahua Moitra arrived Dibrugarh by Air India flight and directly left for Dhola Bisnimukh in Tinsukia district by car.

They will meet the family members of those who were killed by unidentified gunmen on Thursday. The team is supposed to return Kolkata this afternoon.

Bodies of Dhola victims cremated

 

Meanwhile the last rites of the five deceased were performed late last night after post-mortem. The last rites took place at the place where they were killed by the miscreants.

The All Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Federation declared the five deceased as swahids and the organisation would construct a swahid bedi at the place where the incident took place.

Even after passage of 48 hours of the massacre, security forces failed to nab the culprits though a massive manhunt was launched in the area. AASU general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi on Sunday visited the victim families and express his condolence. The All India Youth Congress Committee secretary Rishi Chutia also visited the victim families to express his condolence.
