Assam: KU student gets place in BYJU’s- the Learning App
The University has shared a long standing relationship with BYJU’s , which is the world’s highest valued Education Technology at $5.4 billion (INR 37,000 crore).

The Assam Kaziranga University informed that ” Mr. Arvind Chowdhury, a student of the Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical Engineering) programme at the University, was placed with BYJU’s- the Learning App, Mumbai for a CTC of Indian Rupees 10 Lakhs per Annum.
Mr. Chowdhury was placed with BYJU’s at the recently concluded placement drive at the Jorhat campus of the Kaziranga University on 24 October, 2019, said a press release issued by the university.
The University has shared a long standing relationship with BYJU’s , which is the world’s highest valued Education Technology at $5.4 billion (INR 37,000 crore). The University has been hosting placement drives of BYJU’s at its campus since 2018 and had placed 3 students with a package of INR 9 Lakhs per annum last year.
The Kaziranga University has the distinction of being the only University in the entire North – East to place students with BYJU’s at such packages. It is noteworthy that in the recent past, the University has also placed a student with Jaro Education Pvt. Ltd. for a package of INR 12 Lakhs per annum.
“In terms of future plans in relation to hosting on-campus placement drives, we have received confirmations from Oyo, Mphasis, Bandhan Bank and Cognizant, and they will be visiting our campus within this year.
We had hosted a recruitment drive for Amazon for the previous batch and are looking forward to hosting them again in January, 2020”, the Dean of the Career Development and Placement Cell, Prof. Puranjoy Das, said in relation to planned recruitment drives in the near future.
The University has a proven track record of regularly placing students in top tier firms in the country and abroad, with at least one illustrious alumnus of the University currently working for Audi in Ingolstadt, Germany.
