In a Joint Operation today at 05:30 AM, one NDFB(S) cadre has been killed , while three others managed to escape into the thick jungles of Ride No. 4, Ripu Reserve Forest, north of Rangapara village under Gossaigaon PS.
The killed NDFB cadre has been identified as Ricardo Hazuary @ Rekhai 26 years, resident of Village No. 2 Kusumbil, under Gossaigaon police station
One 9 mm pistol, 1 magazine, 4 live rounds, 2 mobile handsets along with 2 SIMS,1 bag, 17 nos. extortion letters without address and 3 blank NDFB letter heads have been recovered from his possession.
3 blankets, 3 empty cases of 9 mm ammunition and 23 empty cases of 7.62 mm ammunition have also been recovered from the Place of Occurrence .
Search operation is going on and legal actions are being taken up.
