Assam: Students remembered freedom fighter Manohar Nath
All BTC Nath Yougi Student Union on Saturday paid tributes to the freedom fighter Manohar Nath who was sacrificed his life during freedom fighting in 1942.

The All BTC Nath Yougi Student Union on Saturday paid tributes to the freedom fighter Manohar Nath who was sacrificed his life during freedom fighting in 1942. He was killed by British at Dhekiajuli in sonitpur district.
Under the banner of All BTC Nath Yougi Student Union has been observing National Martyrs day in his memory of sacrifice for Nation. This time the day was observed with day long programme at Tetpara LP school play ground. In the morning time paid floral tribute to martyr tomb.
Talking to media, Pranab Nath, President of BTC Nath Yougi Students’ Union said that ” Late Monohar Nath was the freedom fighter and was killed by British hand during the freedom movement in 1942 at dhekiajuli in Sonitpur, Since then they observing this day as National martyr day on his memory.
Slamming the Government he said that it’s very unfortunate that the Government has not take any initiative in memory of his sacrifice. He demands govt should given any specific memorial day on his name in the state. It’s the One of historical for the Nath community he mentioned.
An open meeting was also organised in connection with the observation. Rabiram Narzary, MLA BPF, Badal Nath President BTC Nath Yougi Sanmilini, Peoli Phukan Nath Member Central Selection Board were participated in the meeting.
