Meghalaya: Assam Rifles organised Musical evening Extravaganza with Lucky Ali
SHILLONG- As part of the 186th Raising Day Celebrations of Assam Rifles, an Evening Musical Extravaganza was held which was organized by IDFC First bank under its Honour First outreach to the valiant troops deployed in the North East guarding our frontiers, in Shillong today.
The main attraction of the show was Maqsood Mahmood Ali, popularly known as Lucky Ali. The event was organised at Laitkor in Shillong and was attended by the troops of Assam Rifles besides personnel from Army and Air Force. A festive atmosphere reigned in the serene valley amidst soulful singing to the beats of the band. The jawans were mesmerized by the renditions.
Felicitating the group, the Chief Guest, Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan, AVSM, SM** Director General Assam Rifles, appreciated the efforts made to bring the culture and diversity of the country into the sometimes forgotten North East, which itself has a rich cultural heritage. Senior IDFC First Bank officials were present on the occasion.
While interacting with the troops, Lucky Ali thanked the Bank of giving him the honour of performing in front of the guardians of the Nation in general, and the Sentinels of the North East, as Assam Rifles is popularly known, which had been his cherished dream come true. Honour FIRST is specially designed by IDFC Bank keeping in mind the needs of the Armed Forces community. The IDFC First Bank had recently signed an MoU with the force.
